If you attended last year's event, you almost certainly remember the work of Gretchen Shaw. Gretchen is an Advance volunteer and lives in the neighborhood. She's also a talented photographer, gifted at capturing beauty and dignity wherever she works. Last year she contributed several pieces that captured the spirit of the neighborhood we serve; this year we asked her to contribute to our special Dignity of Work exhibit. She visited NGP, one of our long time business partners (and a generous Art for Jobs sponsor) and photographed several of our graduates on the job.
We're grateful to NGP for thinking outside the box when using temporary workers and when hiring permanent workers. We're grateful to them for their sponsorship of Art for Jobs and for hiring our graduates. Join us for Art for Jobs this year--see all of the pieces in the Dignity of Work exhibit, and much more. See more of Gretchen's work on her website.
